Virtual Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

🌟 About the Virtual IOP

Krippa Family Psychological & Wellness Services is proud to offer a Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adolescents ages 11–18. Our program provides structured, evidence-based support for teens who need more than weekly therapy — but don’t require inpatient hospitalization.

Led by Dr. Sarah Spade, our Virtual IOP meets afterschool at 4:00 PM and is available to families across North Carolina.

👩‍👦 Who It’s For

Our Virtual IOP is designed for teens who may be experiencing:

  • Anxiety, depression, or frequent mood changes

  • Stress related to school, peers, or family relationships

  • Difficulty with emotional regulation and coping skills

  • School avoidance or struggles with daily functioning

  • The need for a higher level of care than once-a-week outpatient therapy

💡 What Teens Gain in the Program

Our program focuses on building coping skills, strengthening resilience, and fostering healthy family connections.

Key Components Include:

  • DBT-Informed Skills Training: Mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness

  • Group Therapy: Peer connection and support in a safe, structured environment

  • Individual Support: Tailored sessions to meet personal treatment goals

  • Family Involvement: Parent DBT skills Group and family therapy to strengthen home routines and communication

  • Care Coordination: Collaboration with your teen’s current therapist, school, and medical providers

🌐 Why Virtual?

Our Virtual IOP allows teens to access care without the barriers of transportation or distance.

  • Accessible statewide for North Carolina families

  • Fits into the afterschool schedule (4:00 PM start)
